ClearanceAI (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides inventory analytics and AI-powered promotion tools for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app.

1. Information we collect

• Shop information: Shopify store domain, access token, plan type, and subscription status.
• Product and inventory data: product titles, variants, inventory quantities, prices, and sales velocity.
• Order data: aggregated sales information used to calculate slow-mover scores and campaign performance.
• Generated content: AI-generated promotion titles, descriptions, and discount recommendations that you choose to apply.

2. How we use information

• Identify slow-moving inventory and recommend promotions.
• Apply discounts and update product descriptions when you explicitly approve a promotion.
• Manage billing and subscription status through Shopify Billing API.
• Improve app performance and stability.

3. AI data processing

When you generate a promotion, we send product titles, descriptions, prices, and inventory context to our AI providers (OpenAI and/or DeepSeek) to produce promotion content. We explicitly do not send customer personal information such as names, email addresses, shipping addresses, or order identifiers. AI providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models; data is used solely to fulfill the current generation request.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Shopify: to authenticate, read/write products, and process subscriptions.
• AI providers: only the product context described above, for the sole purpose of generating promotion content.

5. Data retention

• Active data: while the app is installed, we retain shop, product, inventory, and generated promotion data so the app can function.
• Deleted data: when you uninstall the app, we mark your store as inactive and delete identifiable store data within 30 days, except where required by law.
• Aggregated data: we may retain anonymized, aggregated statistics (such as average inventory turnover or promotion performance metrics) that cannot identify you or your customers. This data is used only to improve the product.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission over TLS, secure storage of API keys and access tokens, and restricted access to production infrastructure.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or export data you have created through the app, such as your promotion history. You can uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin. To exercise these rights or request deletion of your data, contact us at the email below.

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
